Spring Success!

Flying Horse Farm has had a busy spring so far with a lot of achievements!

  • Spy and Becca successfully moved up to Intermediate level and have completed 2 Intermediate Horse Trials so far this spring! They are aiming for the Fair Hill International 2-Star in October.
  • Mindy and Leo are successfully competing at Preliminary Level. They are aiming for the Virginia 1-Star in November.
  • Christine and Petey successfully moved up to Training Level in April  and have completed 3 training level events in perfect form this spring!
  • Zoe and Alex are also successfully competing at Training Level and even won their division at Plantation Field in April!
  • Maddie and Hook will be moving up to Beginner Novice at their next event. Elementary is just too easy for this pair!
  • Crystal and Donato won their Training Level Dressage class at Heart’s Journey Stables. They have plans of competing at First Level later this year!
  • The Flying Horse Farm crew also made their way to the Black River Farm Jumper show in April and represented in divisions from 2 ft all the way up to 3’9″!

Sorry Mums and Dads of the world, but I’m about to make your life difficult. I am such a believer in the fact that growing up around horses is just the best upbringing, for so many reasons! It’s character building, it’s healthy and I feel that it taught me so many lessons that I’ve taken with me through life. That have made me a better, more well-rounded version of myself.

And yes, I totally like to think of myself as well-rounded. If you’re reading this and you know me well and you’re thinking ‘Pfft, yeh right. You? Well rounded?’ then if you’d please just keep that little tidbit to yourself for the purpose of this blog, that’d be fab. 😀

So, here’s why I think every kid should grow up with horses in their lives!
